Dear Salix Homes Limited,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information requests.

I would like to request the following breakdown of the ALMO's hardware maintenance and costs:

A list of the models of the physical servers, storage devices, tape libraries, network switches and routers under support contracts; as well as the cost and duration of said contracts, with start and end dates and service level associated with the equipment. Could you also supply the names of the suppliers of aforementioned support services?

I would also request the name of the person/s in your organisation responsible for the maintenance support contracts.

Yours faithfully,

John Wicker

Dear Mr Wicker

I write in response to your Freedom of Information request received at our
offices on 25^th January, and I apologise for the delay in responding to
your request. You requested the following information:

·             I would like to request the following breakdown of the
ALMO's
hardware maintenance and costs:

A list of the models of the physical servers, storage devices, tape
libraries, network switches and routers under support contracts; as
well as the cost and duration of said contracts, with start and end
dates and service level associated with the equipment. Could you
also supply the names of the suppliers of aforementioned support
services?

In response to your request we can confirm the following:

The majority of ICT service provision to Salix Homes is provided by
Salford City Council (SCC) under a Service Level Agreement (SLA). This has
been the case since Salix Homes was formed as an ALMO. Salix Homes is
wholly owned by SCC.

The SLA does not detail exact specifications for computer, network or
telecommunications equipment. Similarly the equipment service periods are
not specified or individually detailed. The SLA with SCC details expected
levels of service in terms of availability or performance. It is the
responsibility of SCC to arrange appropriate equipment, support contracts
and upgrades to meet these service levels. Salix Homes are not involved in
the specification or selection of the equipment or the support contracts.

For further information, we would therefore refer you to the response
given to your Freedom of Information request made to Salford City Council,
also on 25^th January 2012.

·             I would also request the name of the person/s in your
organisation
responsible for the maintenance support contracts.

Our ICT Manager is Aaron Rhodes.
