Dear Aberdeen City Council,

Under the freedom of information act 2000, I’m writing to obtain the following information:

1) How many employees are working in the council ?
2) What is your annual IT budget ?
3) What is your annual Intranet budget ?
4) What is your current Intranet solution and how long has it been in use ?
5) Do you use Open Source applications, such as Drupal or Wordpress?
6) Who is responsible for managing your Intranet ?
7) Who is responsible for the procurement of your Intranet ?
8) Who is responsible for managing your IT Team ?
9) Do you use any other SaaS (Software as a service) applications ?
10) Who are your main software vendors ?
11) Do you use Azure / Amazon Web Services or Office365 ?
12) Do you have a digital workplace strategy?

Council (ACC) has completed the necessary search for the information
requested.

 

1) How many employees are working in the council ?

9,035 persons.

 

2) What is your annual IT budget ?

9 million including Transformation.

 

3) What is your annual Intranet budget ?

No dedicated budget but included in the above.

 

ACC is unable to provide you with information on a dedicated annual
intranet budget as it is not held by ACC.  In order to comply with its
obligations under the terms of Section 17 of the FOISA, ACC hereby gives
notice that this information is not held by it. 

 

4) What is your current Intranet solution and how long has it been in use
?

Active Edition in use for over 10 years.

 

5) Do you use Open Source applications, such as Drupal or Wordpress?

Yes, for educational purposes.

 

6) Who is responsible for managing your Intranet ?

Corporate Communications.

 

7) Who is responsible for the procurement of  your Intranet ?

Chief Officer Digital and Technology.

 

8) Who is responsible for managing your IT Team ?

Chief Officer Digital and Technology.

 

9) Do you use any other SaaS (Software as a service) applications ?

Yes.

 

10) Who are your main software vendors ?

Capita, Northgate, Microsoft, Google.

 

11) Do you use Azure / Amazon Web Services or Office365 ?

Yes (Amazon Web Services and Office365).

 

12) Do you have a digital workplace strategy?

Yes.
