Insurance Services

The request was partially successful.

Dear London School of Economics,

I would be most grateful if you would provide me, under the Freedom of Information Act, details in respect to the contract below.

Tender for Insurance and Associated Services

The details we require are:
• The ITT documents which were used to support the procurement of the current contract
• Suppliers who applied for inclusion on each framework/contract and were successful & not successful at the PQQ & ITT stages
• Actual spend on this contract/framework (and any sub lots), from the start of the contract to the current date
• Start date & duration of framework
• Is there an extension clause in the framework(s)/contract(s) and, if so, the duration of the extension?
• Has a decision been made yet on whether the framework(s)/contract(s) are being either extended or renewed?
• Who is the senior officer (outside of procurement) responsible for this contract?

Thank you for your help.

Yours faithfully,

Grace Williams

Thank you for your email. As you will appreciate, information requests
place additional demands on the School in terms of costs and staff time.
At present we are having to prioritise our finite resources in order to
meet the unprecedented challenges we are facing during the Coronavirus
(COVID-19) pandemic.  As such, we need to advise you that while we will
continue to process individual requests, you may experience some delay in
our response during the current pandemic.

Dear Grace,

I have contacted colleagues in the sections of the LSE likely to have information on insurance tenders that you mentioned in your request. They have informed me that we don't tender for insurance services. We obtain cover through our membership of the London Universities Purchasing Consortium, which tenders for a broker (currently AJ Gallagher), which tenders for insurance providers.. As such, we do not hold the information you requested and can’t supply it to you.

Although we have not been able to supply you with the information you requested this time, the School is committed to Freedom of Information and would be happy to receive any further requests you wish to make.

Yours sincerely,
Rachael Maguire
