Dear Department for Work and Pensions,
I recently made a complaint to yourselves concerning a data breach, along with this complaint I offered yourselves a copy of the telephone recording which would have clearly upheld my complaint.
I offered this recording to you several times, however, it took you 4 months in order to answer me by stating in your final response:
"You have confirmed that for your personal reasons, you made a recording of the all on 3 October 2017 and have offered to provide a copy to assist our investigations. I should explain this offer was declined following Trade Union consultation"
I fail to see why you can not investigate my complaint based upon what the trade union are telling you. Obviously, the trade union are doing their job and helping protect their member from a potential misconduct hearing, however that should not preclude yourselves from actually investigating the complaint.
Therefore, my freedom of information request is for any information as well as for what basis your final response is relying on.
If there is no basis for the final response, please let me know this in order for me to go back to your complaints department. If however there is a basis for the final response, please include this basis in your FOI reply.
This is an automated confirmation that your request for information has
been accepted by the DWP FoI mailbox.
By the next working day your request will be forwarded to the relevant
information owner within the Department who will respond to you direct.
If your email is a Freedom of Information request you can normally
expect a response within 20 working days.
Should you have any further queries in connection with this request do
please contact us.
