Dear Sir/Madam

We write further to your email of 9 July 2019.

Your request has been processed by us in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

Please find attached/set out below our response.

Exempt Section 12

Section 12(1) of FOIA provides an exemption where the cost of compliance exceeds the appropriate limit, currently £450. This is equivalent to 18 hours spent by our staff looking for, identifying and extracting the information and preparing it to be sent out. We estimate that it would far exceed the 18 hour threshold to collate the information. This is because our systems do not record the information you have requested in a readily available format. We would have to individually access ach file and search for the requested information.

Therefore, we rely on Section 12 (1) of FOIA for these parts of your request.

If you have any questions or are dissatisfied with this response, you should contact us at [email address]. The University’s Director of Finance or his nominated alternate will review any appeal and may amend the University’s current decision. Thereafter, you may refer your request to the Information Commissioner in accordance with section 50 of the FOIA.

The Information Commissioner can be contacted at:

Information Commissioner's Office
Wycliffe House
Water Lane
Wilmslow
SK9 5AF

Telephone: 0303 123 1113 or 01625 545745

Website: www.ico.org.uk

There is no charge for making an appeal.

Yours sincerely
