Dear Mr Lehmann,

Information Request – reference no. DC1571

Thank you for your information request dated 17^th February, which has
been dealt with under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

Please note: Dorset Council was created from 1^st April 2019 covering the
areas/services of the following former councils – Dorset County Council,
East Dorset District Council, Dorset Councils Partnership (made up of
North Dorset District Council, West Dorset District Council and Weymouth &
Portland Borough Council) and Purbeck District Council.

Our response to your request is below and attached, and you will not
receive separate responses from the former councils. However, as there is
not yet a single vehicle fleet list for the whole council we have had to
provide the information for the different former council areas separately.

Our answers are as follows:

1. A list of vehicles owned or leased to the council. Please include;
registration mark (or year made, if preferable), fleet number (if used),
make & model and body type.

Please find attached two spreadsheets containing this information. The
first consists of vehicles that were previously owned by the former Dorset
County Council (DCC), Dorset Councils Partnership (DCP) and East Dorset
District Council (EDDC). The second consists of vehicles owned by our
Waste Service who have their own fleet.

The former Purbeck District Council only owned one vehicle (now owned by
Dorset Council). This is a Renault Kangoo light goods vehicle,
registration number NV59 EWP and uses diesel.

We do not use fleet numbers.

2. Identify which vehicles are owned and which are leased.

The only vehicles which are leased are those in the Waste Services
spreadsheet highlighted in yellow. All other vehicles are owned.

3. Name, position and email address of the staff responsible for these
vehicles, together with the telephone number for the department (direct
dial not expected given GDPR.)

Timothy Woolford, Service Manager for Fleet Maintenance, [1][email
address], main switchboard number 01305 221000 (we are not aware of a
department telephone number for this service).

4. The estimated amount of spend (£) on diesel/petrol per annum and the
cost split between owned and leased vehicles.

We are unable to split spend by diesel/petrol or by owned/leased vehicles
as it is not recorded to this level of detail.

The total spend on fuel in 2018/19 was £2,669,663.97, and the spend in
2019/20 (so far) is £2,323,135.16.
