Dear South Kesteven District Council,
I have recently been approached by residents of Rutland Heights in Stamford in my role as their Ward Councillor at Stamford Town Council, to request information that you hold in relation to any proposed traffic routing which could take place following development of the proposed housing allocation land at Borderville in Stamford.
This includes any plans which may not have yet been made public, in relation to new road creation of a proposed East to West Stamford relief road, in order to route any additional traffic away from Stamford Town Centre, or any proposed plans which are not yet at public consultation stage which pertain to development of the former Sydney Farm, Quarry Farm, and Williamson Cliff quarry sites, as it is feared these could potentially be used as a route for any road planning serving allocated development land toward Ryhall Road and Uffington Road.
Concerns have been raised that a relief road, which could route traffic along Sydney Farm Lane, will have a detrimental impact on their lives, as the road is already presenting a danger to school children traversing the lane to reach either the near by Malcolm Sergant primary school, or the Community College in Great Casterton, as this is the only route they are able to use.
There is also a concern that there is a risk of removal of the existing weight restriction across this road, and I'd request that any information relating to re-classification of this road is also presented in any response.
Dear Mr Dorson
