Dear Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner,Dear Cheshire Police and Crime Panel,
I would be grateful if you could give me the following information:

1a)How many reports of illegal fox hunting by hunting clubs, their employees and associates have Cheshire police received in the last three years? By illegal fox hunting I mean allowing dogs to pursue foxes

1b)How many reports of illegal fox hunting by fox hunting clubs, their employees and associates have resulted in a caution, fine or custodial sentence in the last three years? Please specify the amounts for each outcome.
By illegal fox hunting I mean allowing dogs to pursue foxes.

2) How many reports of illegal fox hunting in the County of Cheshire by hunting clubs, their employees and associates have resulted in a caution, fine or custodial sentence since the 2004 hunting ban was introduced? Please specify the amounts for each outcome.
(The term employees and associates refers to anyone who works for or is subcontracted by the hunting club.)

3)How many incidents of alleged assault upon hunt monitors and saboteurs by members, employees and associates of a hunting club have been recorded in the county of Cheshire over the last three years to date of writing?

4)How many of these reports of assault resulted in a caution, fine or custodial sentence being issued?

information has been considered in accordance with the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.

 

In accordance with Section 1(1)(a) of the Act, the response of the Office
of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire is below.
