Information on rents increases

Dear Southside Housing Association,

I would like make a request under the Freedom of information (Scotland) Act for the following information:

1) The number of responses Southside Housing received to the rent consultation in 2019, 2020, 2021 & the comments given regarding the rent increased proposed

2) For the year 2019-2020, what was Southside Housing financial account including how much income was received from rents, how much was spent on repairs and maintenance and how much reserves are there currently

3) How much Southside Housing senior management staff (including the director’s salary) earnt per year in 2019 and 2020

4) How many air source heat pump heating systems have been installed on St Andrew’s Drive and Crescent properties to date

5) On the extensive research carried out by Southside Housing into modern heating solutions, what evidence is there showing that air source heat pump system is cheaper and efficient for tenants - provide research documents for inspection

Thank you for your request for information dated 5 March 2021 and received
in this office on 8 March 2021. In your request you asked for the
following information to be provided:

 

·         The number of responses Southside Housing received to the rent
consultation in 2019, 2020 and 2021 and the comments given regarding the
rent increase proposed;

·         For the year 2019-2020 what was Southside Housing’s financial
accounts including how much income was received from rents, how much spent
on repairs and maintenance and how much reserves are there currently;

·         How much Southside Housing’s Senior Management Team, including
the Director’s salary earned per year in 2019 and 2020;

·         How many Air Source Heat Pump heating systems have been
installed in St. Andrew’s Drive and St. Andrew’s Crescent properties to
date, and;

·         On the extensive research carried out by Southside Housing into
modern heating solutions, what evidence is there that Air Source Heat
Pumps system is cheaper and efficient for tenants – provide research
documents for inspection.

 

 

Your request is being processed in line with the provisions of the Freedom
of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

 

You will receive the information requested within twenty working days
unless Southside Housing Association does not hold the information, or
there is a reason within the provisions of the Act for it to be withheld.
We will write to you in any event, and you will receive a response to your
request by no later than Tuesday 6 April 2021.

Further to our previous correspondence of 8 March 2021, please find
attached our response to the request you have made under the Freedom of
Information (Scotland) Act 2002 and an Appendix 1 document detailing
comments received from tenants in response to annual rent consultations in
2019, 2020 and 2021. Attached also is a copy of Employers in Voluntary
Housing (EVH) salary scales for 2020 and 2021.

 

The attached response explains why we haven’t provided the information
requested in relation to the Air Source Heat Pump installation programme
under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. We have instead
responded to these two elements of your request under the Environmental
Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004, and you will receive a response
to this part of your request under that information access regimen in due
course.
