Information on Landfill Sites

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Northumberland County Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Northumberland County Council,

I would like to know the following;
• How many landfill sites does the council possess, both defunct and operating?
• How many landfill sites in the council’s jurisdiction are ran privately, and if so by whom?
• How many landfill sites, old or new, were operating before 1994?
• Are there any landfill sites that are currently at risk of coastal erosion, or are actively leaching into the sea?

Thanks for your time.

Kind Regards,

Andrew Jenkins

Northumberland County Council
