Information on Current Computer-Aided Facilities Management System Approach
Dear Goldsmiths, University of London,
I would be most grateful if you would provide me, under the Freedom of Information Act, the following information regarding your facilities management approach:
• Which software solution(s) are used to manage your corporate property/assets including facilities management (CAFM) and who are the current supplier(s)?
• What is the start date and duration of the contract(s)?
• Is there an extension clause in the contract(s) and, if so, what is the duration?
• Has a decision been made yet on whether the contract(s) will be extended or renewed?
• What is the annual value of the contract(s)?
• Who is the senior officer (outside of procurement) responsible for the contract(s)?
Thank you for your help.
Yours faithfully,
Heather Jones
Dear Heather Jones,
We are writing to formally acknowledge your Freedom of Information (FOI) request, which has been logged as FOI - 2207
You will appreciate that all information requests place some degree of demand on a public authority's resources in terms of costs and staff time and that Goldsmiths may need to prioritise resources to other areas, or adapt its usual approach to information governance work, in order to meet the unprecedented challenges we are all facing during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Therefore, we need to advise you that are likely to experience delays in receiving responses to information rights requests during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Yours sincerely,
Information Governance

I need to advise you that section 40(2) of FOIA provides an exemption from
the right to information if it is personal data and to disclose it would
contravene any of the data protection principles. Article 5 of the GDPR
states that personal data shall be: processed lawfully, fairly and in a
transparent manner in relation to the data subject. Goldsmiths takes the
view that employees would have a reasonable expectation their contact
details would not be disclosed as this would be likely to result in
disruptive contacts and unwelcome marketing.
I hope this information satisfies your Freedom of Information request.
However, if you are dissatisfied with this response, you may ask for it to
be reviewed by either contacting us by email: [1][email address] or by
writing to:
