Gwrthodwyd y cais gan Legal Aid Agency.

Dear Legal Aid Agency,

I am seeking information about the Apply Service.

Specifically, I am seeking the following information:
(1) any internal assessments or evaluations of the Apply Service;

(2) any documents recording feedback received from users of the Apply Service; and

(3) any data protection impact assessments or equality impact assessments completed in relation to the Apply Service.

In the event that you determine some of the information I have requested to be exempt from disclosure, please redact exempt information with black boxes, instead of snipping or excerpting, and please state which category of exemption you believe applies to the information.

If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in s.12 FOIA, please provide advice and assistance as to how I can refine my request, as required under s.16 FOIA.

Yours faithfully,

Jack Maxwell

Dear Legal Aid Agency,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Legal Aid Agency's (LAA) handling of my FOI request 'Information about the Apply Service'.

I have made three separate requests for information about three different digital projects undertaken by the LAA:
-the Apply Service (the details of that request are available here: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/i...)
-the Interests of Justice Process Change (the details of that request are available here: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/i...)
-the use of data science for special Children Act cases and domestic violence claims (the details of that request are available here: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/i...)

The LAA aggregated these three requests, purportedly under s 5(2) of the FOI and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004. It then refused the request as exceeding the cost limit.

I consider that the aggregation of these requests was not authorised by s 5(2). The requests are for different documents, in relation to different projects, which were carried out in different areas of LAA decision-making. The fact that they are all 'digital projects' in some loose sense cannot be enough to justify their aggregation.

Yours faithfully,

Jack Maxwell
