Response:

Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO)

Our Permanent TRO’s are advertised in such a way that that they conform to
current Highways Legislation. Therefore our Permanent TROs are advertised
within a newspaper which circulates within the Area the road is situated,
and The Sentinel is the only newspaper which can meet this criteria.

Our advertised TROs are not available on the Council Website, but are
available via the Newspaper website, in addition to this a copy of the
Notice and the proposed Order, along with supporting documentation, is
made available for public inspection at council offices as specified in
the notice.

Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTRO)

Temporary TROs are advertised within a newspaper which circulates within
the Area the road is situated, and The Sentinel is the only newspaper
which can meet this criteria. Our advertised TTROs are not available on
the Council Website, but are available via the Newspaper website, and in
many cases are on roadworks.org.

Our consultee list on Permanent TROs are again a mixture of statutory
consultees and choice consultees which meets and exceeds the statutory
requirement of consulting on a TRO. It is not a requirement to consult for
Temporary TRO’s but both types of orders are sent to the consultees below;
