the LEA should know the amount of home educated children within that 102 number whom there are current welfare concerns . They should also be able to seperate concerns which need to be investigated from actual care plans in the statistics

In addition, they can comment on how many home educated children in the past few years there have been concerns or care plans in place

Also important to know is whether these children home were home educated before ther were any concerns or care plans because we know that in one national media attention case the child was already known to the authorities while home edcuation wa staking place- i.e. the safeguarding failed not the home edcuaiton inspection.

lastly, how many children in school does the LEA have and how many of this number are there current concerns or care plans
