Incorrectly graded scripts
Dear Northern Ireland Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment,
with the story of 676 pupils across the province have asked for their AS Level English Literature papers to be re-assessed still fresh in the memory, can you please state if CCEA have set any procedures to ensure this does not happen again?

CCEA is committed to ensuring high quality processes are in place for all aspects of examinations.
Following media attention regarding awarding for AS English Literature specification, CCEA reopened the enquiry about results process. We have implemented additional quality measures, such as training and monitoring, for this academic year.
For your information CCEA received 327 requests for Enquiry about Results for AS (revised specification).
Requesting an internal review
If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your original letter and should be addressed to: Complaints Co-ordinator either by post at CCEA, 29 Clarendon Road, Belfast BT1 3BG or by email to [email address]. Please remember to quote the reference number above in any future communications.
If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at:
