Incorrect information persistently given in answer to FOI requests
Dear Ms Pook,
In response to Mr Carruthers, in January 2009, you stated that Mr Redmond claimed/incurred a total of £25,507 in expenses in the year 06/07.
In March 2010, in response to me, you stated that Mr Redmond claimed/incurred a total of £8,263 in expenses in the year 06/07.
On 19 April 2010, in response to me, you stated that the figure given to Mr Carruthers was incorrect.
However, referring to the figures given by you to me in March 2010, you stated "I assure you that the information I gave you is correct". .
But that is not true. The information is not correct. £4,403 plus £416 plus £8584 totals £13,403. It does not total £8,263.
Nor is the total for 08/09 accurate.
In sum, you gave Mr Carruthers the wrong figure, you then gave me a completely different and also wrong figure, and you have now compounded those errors by assuring me that a wrong figure is correct when it isn't.
Do you accept that the figures given by the Commission in answer to FOI enquiries are completely unreliable and have no credibility?
Yours sincerely,
Angela Mayall

The LGO misled the Department of Communities and Local Government as to their compliance rates. If they are willing to mislead a government department who are we to expect accurate information. :)
