Waiting for an internal review by Dumfries and Galloway Council of their handling of this request.

What are the timescales after a parent requests a copy of incident reports thats happened in school ? With or without a police investigation . How long does the council take and what are the procedures during this process?

Please find attached the accident/incident policy, which is followed by Education H&S please refer to section 6.7. No timeframe is stated as to the issue of the accident form.

Thank you for your email requesting an internal review.
 
Dumfries and Galloway Council have considered the release of incident
reports.
 
Where an approach is made by a parent concerning access to incident
reports only, Officers with redaction expertise should seek to expedite a
quick response within a period of 10 working days
 
Where an approach is made by a parent concerning access to incident
reports as part of a wider request, current guidance states the follwoing
timescales:
 

* Subject Access Request - one calendar month

 

* Pupil Record Request - 20 working days

 
These timelines are in line with current GDPR guidance.
        
If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of the review, you have the right
to apply to the Scottish Information Commissioner for a decision. Appeals
to the Commissioner can be made at

What if a child gets restrained at school thats an incident surely the parent has got to know about it immediatley . Are you telling me that the parent has got to wait 10 days to know what happened ?
