Inappropriate use of public funds, Jerry White
Dear Local Government Ombudsmen,
My follow-up request dated 4 February 2010 appears to have been overlooked.
Talking to BBC Radio Five Live was not part of Jerry White's LGO duties and doing so would be a private matter. Why then was Jerry White's claim (against public funds) for re-imbursement of a taxi fare to BBC Radio Five Live Coventry, to be interviewed on 6 September 2009, not refused by the Commission?
Yours faithfully,
chris taylor
Dear Mr Taylor
Our ref: CS/10/031
My apologies for overlooking your previous request.
Doing media interviews was part of Jerry White's work activities as Local Government Ombudsman.
Therefore his travel claim was legitimate.
Yours sincerely
