Implementation of the new waste management computer system

Mr. Lees made this Freedom of Information request to Stoke on Trent City Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

We're waiting for Mr. Lees to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Stoke on Trent City Council,

I have been made aware that around last Wednesday (21/8/2019) a new computer system was rolled out for waste management in the council area, regarding that system could you please provide the following information:

What testing was done on the system to ensure that information was migrated across from the old system?

What mitigations were put in place for any data that was not migrated properly?

What did the system cost?

What are the benefits of the new system?

How will you determine when a collection has been missed and the refuse collector has put in a reason for collection refusal where that reason was invalid (I understand that the system won't allow a missed collection report when an operative has given a reason for a non-collection).

How many people have been impacted by incorrect data in the migration from the old to the new system?

If you cannot answer any individual question then please answer all of the others and detail why the question cannot be answered.

Yours faithfully,

Mr. Hubball
