NEYH Freedom of Information, Home Office

Dear Mr Ali

Thank you for your enquiry of 3 December.  This falls to be dealt with
under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Please accept my apologies for
the delay in responding to your request.

I am currently unclear about the exact scope of the information in which
you are interested.  Section 1(3) of the Freedom of Information Act
provides that a public authority need not comply with a request for
information unless any further information reasonably required to identify
and locate the information is supplied. To ensure that we provide you with
the right information, please could you clarify your request.

You requested:

Immigration Applications Statistics

I am making this request for the following information under the Freedom
of Information Act 2000.

Please provide statistics since December 2012 for the following:

1.         Number of immigration applications HO received from (all kinds
of) applicants residing in the following areas:

a.         Coventry

b.         Nuneaton

c.         Bedworth

d.         Rugby

e.         Warwick

Please provide statistics for each of the above areas if possible or any
of the areas.

2.         Number of applications HO received from applicants residing
within the CV postcode area.

Please note: CV postcode area has these postcodes: (CV1 CV2 CV3 CV4 CV5
CV6 CV7 CV8 CV9 CV10 CV11 CV12 CV13 CV21 CV22 CV23 CV31 CV32 CV33 CV34
CV35 CV36 CV37 CV47).

I do not need statistics based on each of those postcodes individually.

Please confirm if you are requesting the number of  journeys made by
people entering the UK. Note where an individual enters the country more
than once, each arrival is counted. For non-EEA nationals who are subject
to immigration control, more detailed information is available on their
nationality and purpose of their journey. Total passenger arrival data are
available to the year ending September 2014; data on the purpose of
journey (e.g. visit, work, study) and data for individual nationalities
are available up to the end of 2013. The following link details
immigration statistics July to September 2014
[1]www.gov.uk/government/collections/immigration-statistics-quarterly-release.
If not then please specify which application categories you are interested
in and whether you are interested in out of country or in country
applications.

When you provide this information we will aim to send you a full response
to your request within twenty working days of its receipt. I look forward
to hearing from you shortly. However, please note that if I do not receive
appropriate clarification of your request within three months from the
