FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REF: FOI2018-1019

 

I am responding to your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000,
which we received on 31^st of July 2018, for information held by the
Council. Your request is as follows:

 

1) The number of Information Governance/Data Protection consultants that
have been hired by the Council in the last 3 financial years, including
this current one.

Response

 

1) The number of Information Governance/Data Protection consultants that
have been hired by the Council in the last 3 financial years, including
this current one.

1 consultant was hired  from September 2017 to December 2017 -  20/9/17 to
1/12/17

1 consultant was hired from January 2018 to February 2018 - 23/1/18 to
23/2/18

2 consultants were employed from April 2018 to June 2018 - 2/4/18 to
25/6/18

1 consultant was hired from February 2018 and it is expected that the
assignment will end in October 2018 - 21/2/18 - (expected 26/10/18)

 

2) What those consultants were employed to do - e.g. oversee GDPR
compliance, handle FOI requests etc. A brief description will suffice.

All of the consultants were brought in to assist with GDPR. Part of it was
project management of the GDPR readiness programme, there was advising
various departments and carrying out GDPR readiness with the departments,
carrying out training.

 

3) The total cost of this consultancy for each financial year. A
cumulative cost will do just fine.

£123,963.64 is the total for the time consultants were employed for (2017
until now).

 

4) Details of how the consultants were recruited. E.g. was there a tender
process? If so, provide the spec.

All of the consultants were recruited through our resourcing partner
Matrix.

 

5) The length of time each consultant was employed for by the Council
(days)
