I am looking for student support fund which UK universities are providing to students in this pandemic for my assignment
Dear The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service,
Hello , I am a student of UWE Bristol and I am pursuing masters in journalism . I have investigative journalism on semester 2 and I am highlighting a topic about student support fund which university are providing in this pandemic . For my project I need this data. It would be great if you guys answer all these questions to me.
1. How many students are supposed to be benefited for this fund ?
2. How many students have been benefitted already ?
3. How many students are still to get the benefit from this fund ?
6. Suppose maximum students have not been benefitted in that case. What are the university strategy to provide financial support to the students under this financial support scheme ?
7. Will the fund cover the real financial impact of Covid on students ?
Yours faithfully,
Arundhuti Roy

Dear Arundhuti,
Re: Request for internal review: FOI-2021-04-14
Further to your request for internal review, initially please accept my apologies for the delay in response to your request.
As you have not detailed any specific concerns in regard to the response you have received, I have reviewed how UCAS has handled your request and the specific response you received.
I can confirm that your initial response was provided in accordance with the timescales provided by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and UCAS confirmed, in accordance with Section 1(1)(a) of the Act, that we were unable to identify any information held by the organisation relevant to your request.
As part of this review further enquiries have been made within the organisation to seek assurance that the initial response was accurate and UCAS does not hold further details as noted in your request. I can confirm that this is the case and UCAS does not hold information relevant to your request and the specific questions you have asked which I have copied below for ease of reference.
Further to the review response I am hoping that some additional details about UCAS and the services we provide may assist your understanding why we do not hold the information you have specifically requested.
UCAS provides a central application service for individuals wishing to apply to higher education together with information and advice on the courses and options available across the UK. Our support and services are specially geared towards supporting students in their applications to higher education, but we are not involved in the finance or support of students once they have enrolled onto their course. As a result we do not hold details of Covid related student support funds provided to existing student cohorts at individual universities or the wider education sector as we do not collate such information or have any responsibility for this activity. In terms of the question numbered 6 above, please note that UCAS is not a university and therefore specifically would not hold information relevant to the second part of this question.
As noted within our initial response details on the provision of these funds are likely to be held by individual universities or higher education colleges which can be contacted directly. Alternatively you may wish to make enquiries with the Office for Students as regulator for higher education within England to see if they are currently collating any information relevant to your request from across the UK.
I hope this further clarification assists in explaining why UCAS does not hold the information request.
If you are dissatisfied with UCAS’ handling of your request, you have a right of complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Officer. Further details of this right and how to contact the ICO can be found at http://www.ico.org.uk.
Kind regards
Mark
