HS2 protests
Dear Thames Valley Police,
Please tell me how many minors have been arrested by Operation Rocket or by Thames Valley Police officers operating alongside Operation Rocket?
How many of these arrests were at or near HS2 sites at or near Denham Country Park?
Were the arrests made in Buckinghamshire?
How many of those minors were attended by responsible adults whilst in custody, and how many saw legal representatives of their choice whilst in custody?
Yours faithfully,
Marrk Keir

Dear Public Access TV,
It seems to be incredibly difficult for you to dig out information that ought to be available to the public. Foi requests are a machination of democratic accountability. Perhaps you could offer some advice on where and how I could find this information.
Yours sincerely,
Marrk Keir
Dear Mr Keir
My apologies for the delay in responding to your email. This was due to a
period of sickness.
Thank you for your email. The response made to your request for
information took into account the legislation governing Freedom of
Information requests. The response contained an explanation of why the
information could not be provided within the constraints of the
legislation and the following advice was given:
"We have continued to provide information where possible. The provision
of this data does not affect our legal right to rely on Section 12 for the
rest of your request.
Arrests (all offences) – 202
Information regarding the number of charges for all offences may be
available within the time/cost limit."
I am unable to provide any advice in addition to this.
Information is generally stored in a format to be used by the force for
policing purposes, not for the provision of statistics under Freedom of
Information. It is not a function of this office to require information to
be stored in any specific way.
You are within your rights to have the response reviewed by a senior
manager. Please let me know if you would like this to happen.
