Dear High Speed Two (HS2) Limited,
I noted with interest the launch of the consultation on the HS2 Phase Two Safeguarding (Fradley to Crewe).
There are plans available which show the affected land in the consultation but I am unable to find the corresponding GIS files in the HS2 section of the data.gov.uk website.
Could you tell me if they are available, please, and point me in the direction of the web page? If they are not available would you be able to provide them, please.

Thank you for any assistance you can give me, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

HS2Enquiries, High Speed Two (HS2) Limited

Dear Angela,

As the HS2 project develops, we will at appropriate milestones of the
project release geographic information system (GIS) data allowing our
stakeholders to better understand the rail network’s line of route and
associated infrastructure. Our general principles towards publishing data
are as follows:

o We will aim to publish data collected and produced for the development
of the High Speed Two (HS2) rail network within 20 working days of key
business milestones to data.gov.uk in an appropriate format that can
be readily used.
o Once available we will make HS2 GIS data available through the
Government's dedicated open data website data.gov.uk, where you can
visit our dedicated page at: [1]data.gov.uk/publisher/high-speed-2.

Please note that the GIS data from the Phase Two (Fradley to Crewe)
Safeguarding consultation is not currently available on data.gov.uk  but
should be uploaded in the near future.

Our standard approach is to issue our GIS data in ESRI ArcGIS shapefile
format and you will therefore need to have the appropriate software to
view this data.  All our GIS data is made available under the Open
Government Licence, details for which can be viewed on the National
Archives website at

Kind regards,
