HR, Payroll and Bacs software contract expiry dates

The request was successful.

Dear Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust,

Could you please provide the following information?

1. When your current contract with HR and Payroll software expires.
2. When your current contract with BACs payment software expires.
3. Where/if these services will be tendered.
4. Are you joined to another trust with regards to the above information.

Where there is no contract or expiry, if you just put the number and N/A, I would be very grateful.

FOI (ROYAL DEVON AND EXETER NHS FOUNDATION TRUST), Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

Dear Mr Jenkins

Further to your Freedom of Information request, the Trust has answered your questions in the order they appear in your request.

1. When your current contract with HR and Payroll software expires.
The Trusts HR and Payroll software is branded ESR and is provided by the Department of Health via IBM. It is free for the Trust to use under a site licence. For further information e.g. Contract start/end dates, expenditure etc, please refer to the Department of Health.

2. When your current contract with BACs payment software expires.
The current BACS software license ends in October.

3. Where/if these services will be tendered.
It would not be economically sensible to tender either of these requirements currently. The ESR product is free and, until a pressing business need is identified that would make a change essential, it would not make commercial sense to change at this time. The BACS product is under £1000 per annum and the cost of tendering this would exceed the annual renewal cost significantly.

4. Are you joined to another trust with regards to the above information.
No, the Trust is not joined with another Trust on the above.

If you feel your enquiry has not been dealt with appropriately please refer any complaints to the Information Governance Manager, who will initiate an internal complaint procedure. Complainants who remain dissatisfied with the Trust at the end of the internal complaint procedure have the right to take their complaint to the Information Commissioner.

In order to enable us to make improvements in our service, I would be grateful if you could kindly take a few moments of your time to fill out the survey below. If you have any comments that you would like to make regarding the way your request was dealt with, please enter them in the comments section.
