How to get complaint about DWP to ombudsman if ignored by MP

We're waiting for Ashley to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman,

How can I get my complaint about the DWP to the ombudsman? I have sent it to my MP but have been ignored and have received no response. I have also been informed that no other MP apart from my constituent representative can deal with it.

Yours faithfully,

Ashley

Perhaps MPs are reluctant to refer complaints about the DWP to the Ombudsman.

My complaint (about the DWP) which was submitted mid May 2017 did not get to the Ombudsman until the start of September 2017. Admittedly due to the pre-election period (purdah) Parliament had been dissolved between 3 May and 8 June 2017 so the Ombudsman could not accept new complaints. However, it still took 12 weeks from 8 June until the Ombudsman eventually received the submission.
