no-reply@dcms.ecase.co.uk on behalf of FOI Team,

Dear Mr Hutton,

Thank you for your email of 23 February, in which you made the following
request for information:

For each of 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 how many of your staff have been
working on international trade issues as their main job?

We have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
(the Act). We can confirm that the Department for Digital, Culture, Media
and Sport (DCMS) does not hold any information within the scope of your
request. This is because International trade is an all-of-government
issue. The Department for International Trade are doing detailed work with
departments to prepare for future trade negotiations by understanding the
risks and opportunities of future trade with the EU and rest of the world
and coordinating planning. Staff within the DCMS International Team lead
on providing advice to Ministers on international trade issues. Members of
staff across the Department also provide advice and analysis on
international trade issues as required. Given the interactions between
international trade work and the Department's other priorities, it would
not be possible to give accurate figures.

Yours sincerely,

Freedom of Information Team
