Under what I believe is the current Traffic Regulation Order governing residents' parking schemes in Cambridge (https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/4...) section 17.22 allows the County Council to issue bulk free visitor permits to the elderly and infirm.
Can you please tell me if the County Council has issued free visitor parking permits under the terms of this section and if so, how many such permits have been issued in each of the calendar years 2013-2018 ?

I am writing with reference to your FOI request received on 11^th June
2018 regarding How many bulk free visitor parking permits have been
issued? We have considered your request under the terms of the Freedom of
Information Act and our response is below.
Dear Cambridgeshire County Council,
Under what I believe is the current Traffic Regulation Order governing
residents' parking schemes in Cambridge
section 17.22 allows the County Council to issue bulk free visitor permits
to the elderly and infirm.
Can you please tell me if the County Council has issued free visitor
parking permits under the terms of this section and if so, how many such
permits have been issued in each of the calendar years 2013-2018 ?
The special exemption free visitor parking permits for the elderly and
infirm are issued on medical grounds. If a resident is receiving
short-term or long-term care in their own home they can apply for any
number of free Visitor Parking Permits . The Visitor Parking Permits can
be used by anyone who provides care including: friends, family members and
registered professionals. The applicant's doctor assesses the medical
condition or mobility issue and provides an estimate of the number and
frequency of official visits required.
The permits issued from 2013 to date are:
Year Free Medical Visitor Permits
2018 996 – up to 12/06/18
