Re: Your request for information: 2894681

Thank you for your request for information that was received on 29 October
2021, in which you requested:

The Council has a legal agreement with developer Lendlease that small
businesses (SMEs) displaced by development in the Elephant & Castle
Opportunity Area are given first priority for affordable retail units on
Elephant Park.

Please can you supply me with this information about Elephant Park;

1.          how many retail units have been built to date?

2.          how many retail units have been let to date?

3.          how many affordable retail units have been let?

4.          how many affordable retail units have been let to businesses
displaced from the Opportunity Area?

Your request has been considered under the Environmental Information
Regulations (EIR) 2004. The information requested is ‘environmental
information’ as it meets the definition set out in regulation 2(1) of the
EIR.

In response to it, we are able to provide the attached information.

Please can you supply me with this information about Elephant Park;

1.          how many retail units have been built to date?

42

2.          how many retail units have been let to date?

36, with includes 2 for Southwark Library.  There are also 5 more in
solicitor's hands at the time of writing.

3.          how many affordable retail units have been let?

10

4.          how many affordable retail units have been let to businesses
displaced from the Opportunity Area?

7, with 2 more in solicitor's hands at the time of writing.  5 of these
units are to former Artworks tenants, and 4 of these units are to Elephant
and Castle Town Centre tenants.
