Subject: Freedom of Information request - Housing the homeless.

Dear Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership,

Dumfries and Galloway Council are responsible for people who have made
homeless applications. They then refer people to DGHP for permanent
housing since this is the main social landlord in the area. It is reported
that there are long delays in permanent housing being offered and it is
often of a poor quality. Please provide information as follows:

These requests relate to the period 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2020.

1) What is the policy of DGHP in relation to provision of housing to the
homeless? Are there any policy documents in existence? Please provide
these if so.

2) When a referral is received from Dumfries and Galloway Council (DGC)
what steps are taken to provide permanent accommodation to individuals?

3) In the period specified above, what was the shortest time in which
someone was housed? What was the longest time?

4) What type of accommodation is offered to people? Is this from new
housing stock, or older properties?

5) Is there any policy regarding areas where housing is provided and, if
so, what is this?
