Housing stock

We're waiting for Meera Moynihan to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Waltham Forest Council,

I am writing under the Freedom of Information Act to request information the council holds pertaining to the following:

1. How many homes in the London Borough of Waltham Forest are directly owned by Waltham Forest Council, how many are owned by housing associations, and how many are owned by an arms-length management organisation?
2. Does Waltham Forest Council currently operate a Housing Revenue Account? If so, what was the income, expenditure, and end of year balance for the last reporting period?
3. What is the current Housing Revenue Account borrowing cap applied to Waltham Forest Council?
4. For every year since 2010, how much has Waltham Forest Council borrowed for the Housing Revenue Account?
5. How many loans have Waltham Forest Council sought from the Public Works Loan Board each year since 2010, and what is the value of each loan application?
6. How much money has Waltham Forest Council borrowed from the Public Works Loan Board each year since 2010, and for what purpose has this money been spent?

I would ask that you remember the statutory duty imposed upon public authorities by virtue of Section 16 of the Freedom of Information Act to provide advice and assistance to requesters. If for any reason you are leaning toward rejecting any part of this request or if you plan to argue that it is unmanageable or unanswerable in any way then I would expect you to contact me promptly to find ways to answer this request to our mutual satisfaction. If the information requested is already publicly available, then I would expect you to point me in the direction by which this information can be found.

Yours sincerely,

Meera Moynihan
