Kent County Council

Dear A Hare

Thank you for your request for information made under the Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA) 2000, relating to housing related support in Kent.

I am afraid Kent County Council does not hold the information you have
requested as in Kent, housing is a function of the 12 district councils
and Medway Council, a unitary authority, not the County Council. I have
provided some links below which I hope will be of assistance not only in
explaining who does what but also to help you contact the appropriate
authorities.

Dear FOI Team - I am not sure this is correct.

Mel Anthony manages Housing Related Support and we commission services
including floating support.  This has been quite high profile and Clare
Jenden has also been reviewing parts of this for TAG.

Mel is on annual leave now until the 22^nd, but I would want to check this
out with her first.

Please let me know who you want me to take this forward.

Dear A Hare

Further to our email below, it has been belatedly bought to my attention
that the response we provided was inaccurate. The Strategic Commissioning
Support Manager attempted to point this out to us but inadvertently sent
her email expressing her concerns to you rather than our team. Therefore,
although what my colleague said is correct; District Councils are in the
main, responsible for social housing, I can confirm that Kent County
Council may also hold information falling within the scope of your
request.

We will endeavour to provide a response to you within the original
statutory timescale, i.e. no later than 9^th March.

Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience.

Dear A Hare

Thank you for your request for information. Please accept my sincere
apologies for the slight delay in responding to you. I appreciate that KCC
has failed to comply with statutory timescales on this occasion.

You asked for information about individual contracted services for Housing
Related Support (including homelessness  accommodation based and floating
support services)

I attach a spreadsheet with details of the contracts and the building
owner. Some property owners are private individuals, therefore to disclose
their name without their consent would amount to a breach of the Data
Protection Act 1998. As such, this information is exempt from disclosure
under section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act on the grounds that
it is personal information.

The council is reviewing its services for housing related support and
contracts will be extended whilst this process is underway.  It is planned
that services for Young People will be reconfigured and reprocured from
September 2016.
