Dear North-Eastern Region - (EANI),

Please provide details of the number of children of school age, in the former NEELB or current NE Region of the EANI whose parents have received Financial Awards to fund commercial home education programs in the last 5 years.

Please provide details how many of those children awarded funding for home education programs had a Statement of Special Educational Needs.

Please provide particular details of how many children were awarded funding to fund home based Applied Behaviour Analysis or SON-RISE programmes or any other commercial programme and what these were.

Please advise as to the financial cost of funding received per year per child.

Please advise as to what stipulations there were in place for the funding - i.e. what was the funding allowed to be used for?

Please advise as to who the educators were for the children whose parents were awarded funding i.e. a parent, a qualified teacher/tutor, another professional - please indicate what their profession was.

Please provide details of the ages of these children when their funding began and the ages when their funding ceased.

Thank you for your response. Could I ask for further clarification on this subject please.

Was the child that received the funding for the aforementioned home education ABA programme in full time education at the time i.e in school - or was he/she being home educated during this time?

What criteria needs to be met that would enable a child to receive funding for a home education programme such as the one mentioned in your reply?
