Dear Ross Children’s Commissioner for England,

The question was derived
from the Convention on Rights of the Child.

I trust that monitoring this is within your remit.
Article 39 States Parties shall take all appropriate measures to promote physical and psychological recovery and social reintegration of a
child victim of: any form of neglect, exploitation, or abuse; torture or any other form of cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment; or armed conflicts. Such recovery and reintegration shall take place in an environment which fosters the health, self-respect and dignity of the child.

My experience is that a huge problem for sexually abused children is not receiving the necessary support to promote recovery.

I will narrow this to
"What is being done to help victims of child sexual abuse physically and psychologically recover?
How much money is spent in this if any?"
Please could you also tell me your remit and job description as childrens commissioner.

Yours faithfully,

rebecca hemsley
