Dear Clive,

FOI ref: 2019/2070

Further to your email below, I can now respond to your request dated 18^th
December 2019.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted within Pennine
Care NHS Foundation Trust (the Trust) to locate the requested information
and I can confirm that some of the information requested is held by the
Trust.

Please see below responses:

How many staff do you currently employ to undertake RTT validation tasks?
How many more permanent or temporary staff are expected to be needed over
the next 12 months?
How many open RTT pathways do you have currently?

Pennine Care is a mental health and learning disability Trust.  As such,
we do not have any RTT pathways.

How many staff do you currently employ to undertake clinical coding
validation tasks?
This equates to 0.25 staff

How many more permanent or temporary staff are expected to be needed over
the next 12 months?
None

Do you operate and utilise a live bed state system?
Yes

Has your organisation implemented any centralised or 24 hour bed
management process, or have an automatic electronic utilisation data
capture solution.
If so, which processes or solutions are in use?
We operate a 24 hour, 365 day bed management service  which is trust wide.
This is based at the Irwell Unit at Fairfield General Hospital

What is the name, job title, and department contact email address of the
primary decision maker for change control of the bed state process?
This information is not recorded, as there is no single person that is
assigned to the above job.
Any queries or issues relating to bed state can be emailed to the teams
generic email address:  PATIENT FLOW HUB. [1][email address]

How many Urgent Care/Emergency Department staff have access to the spine
lookup and validation service to verify demographics at the point of
patient registration?
As we are a mental health Trust we don’t run any Emergency or Urgent Care
units, and we’re not responsible for registration into those departments –
that would be done by the staff running the A&E or Urgent Care Units.

However, we do have some crisis staff who work in/with A&E and we may be
able to provide the figures for Spine access for those staff, but this
would not be for registration purposes as requested.

If you do require the above figures, please advise and we will process the
request.
