Healix National SMP Service
Dear Avon and Somerset Constabulary,
A company called Healix, or Healix Group of Companies, offers to police forces what they call 'The Healix Selected Medical Practitioner Service'.
The Service is intended to provide a medical Doctor who can carry out the duties of a Selected Medical Practitioner (SMP) for the purposes of the Police (Injury Benefit) Regulations 2006, as well as other pension-related assessment procedures regarding serving and retired officers.
Please tell me whether or not your force does now, or has in the past 12 months, utilised the Service described.
If Healix is not now used, then please tell me where your force obtains SMPs from.
Yours faithfully,
Greg Bowers
