The emoluments of the Vice-Chancellor are set out in the annual report and
accounts. The most recent reports are published on our website:

can also confirm the emoluments for the three years prior to those
published on the web:
 
2008-09: salary £253k, benefits in kind assessed for HMRC purposes £7k,
employer's pension contributions £55k
2007-08: salary £237k, benefits in kind assessed for HMRC purposes £7k,
employer's pension contributions £36k
2006-07: salary £215k, benefits in kind assessed for HMRC purposes £7k,
employer's pension contributions £30k
 
Prior to 2006 our payroll data was stored slightly differently, and my
colleagues are working on retrieving those figures for you now.
 
I will be in touch again as soon as possible to confirm the details for
the earlier years.

this email.  As advised, the salary of the Vice-Chancellor is set out in
the annual report and accounts. There are no additional payments, such as
relocation allowances, and I have not considered whether there were any
benefits in kind, as not being within the scope of the request. The most
recent reports are published on our website:
