Dear Metropolitan Police Service (MPS),
I am afraid the format that you provided does not break down the granular details of East and Southeast Asian. Note other police forces have been able to satisfy our request. In fact when an organisation I am working with requested this data, you were able to provide much more usable data in 2021: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NxoQtWC...
What are you using instead of Oriental (which was a historic designation you used)? Are you using Asian to capture those you would have classified as Oriental?
Please could you provide us with month to month breakdowns for the years 2019 to 2022 with actual BREAKDOWNS between the individual ethnic group identifiers that relate to East and Southeast Asian. This data is extremely important given the cosmopolitan nature of London. If you are unable to give month by month breakdowns, could you please give annual totals?
Yours faithfully,
Ms Y Wang

Dear Metropolitan Police Service (MPS),
The figures you gave us are significantly redacted that they are inaccurate.
For example for China, the grand total is 307 but the non-redacted figures show 139 if added together. This makes the request you have responded to insufficiently fulfilled.
Please can you consider providing ONE of the FOLLOWING TWO OPTIONS, OPTION 1 or OPTION 2:
OPTION 1:
Total hate crimes (no need for monthly breakdowns): 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 for Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, Mongolia, North Korea, and South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Laos, Indonesia, Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia and Timor-Leste?
OPTION 2:
Something similar to the FOIA request response you provided us before in 2021 as in this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NxoQtWC... except for years 2019, 2020,
2021 and 2022 for designation Oriental or similar?
Yours faithfully,
