Dear FOI,
The PDF file you send me is incomplete due to the face that the Bus Service Guide is missing by the content table this equates to over 148 pages missing.
Also as this document is printed in bulk for the drivers i can not see that as a cost concern if the cost posting is the true issue then i will be willing to travel to a TfL office where i can pick up a copy
Yours sincerely,
Glen Turnbull
Dear Mr Turnbull
Thank you for your email. We will look into the pages you state are missing below and respond shortly.
Regarding printing both the guides, in accordance with section 11 of the FOI Act a requester may express a preference for having the information communicated by a particular means, namely a hard copy of the information, however a public authority is only obliged to make the information available by the preferred means so far as reasonably practicable. This will depend on factors such as how the information is held, the cost of complying with the preference and the public authority’s resources. If required a public authority may charge a fee to cover the cost of communicating the information in the specified format.
In this instance the information you seek is held in electronic format and has been provided to you as such. You mention that these guides are printed in bulk for use by drivers. This will be done too assist staff members in performing their duties on the transport network and as you are not a member of staff and these guides will not assist you in performing your duties, the financial cost of providing hard copies for you is not considered reasonable.
As advised in our previous response, you are able to print your own hard copy of each guide from the electronic versions we provided.
Yours sincerely

I have found that other requests for the big red book where the latest one is provided, excludes the bus service guide like this request.
