Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

We're waiting for Sam Mills to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear House of Commons,

I would like to be informed of the means in which the MPs I saw during the previous 4 weeks are keeping their hair in good condition and cut.

Barbers and hairdressers are not permitted to be open during the current lockdown rules, and social distancing rules surely dictates that this shouldn't happen?

Yours faithfully,

Sam Mills

Dear Sam Mills,

Freedom of Information request F21-014

Thank you for your request for information as copied below. You asked for
information about the means in which MPs are keeping their hair in good
condition and cut.

In the first instance it may be helpful to remind you that the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (FOIA) only entitles a requester to access recorded
information held by a public authority.

Information about Members’ personal grooming arrangements is not held by
the House of Commons. Members are neither employed by the House of
Commons, nor are they required to report their personal arrangements to
the House, as we have no business need to seek or record that information.

You may wish to consider contacting the individual Members concerned to
ask for the information you seek; contact details are available at:
[1]http://www.parliament.uk/mps-lords-and-o... However, Members
of Parliament are not public authorities for the purposes of the FOIA.
This means that they are not obliged to respond to requests made under the
Act.

You may, if dissatisfied with the handling of your request, complain to
the House of Commons. Alternatively, if you are dissatisfied with the
outcome of your request you may ask the House of Commons to conduct an
internal review of any decision regarding your request.  Complaints or
requests for internal review should be addressed to: Information Rights
and Information Security Service, Research & Information Team, House of
Commons, London SW1A 0AA or [2][House of Commons request email].  Please ensure
that you specify the full reasons for your complaint or internal review
along with any arguments or points that you wish to make.

If you remain dissatisfied, you may appeal to the Information Commissioner
at Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF,
[3]www.ico.gov.uk.

Yours sincerely,
