This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Roedd y cais yn rhannol lwyddiannus.

Dear Cheshire Constabulary,

Cheshire Police have been carrying guns in shops
https://youtu.be/_44bVwGVIPI

Did the police receive permission from Tesco to do this? If so please send a copy of that permission.
Were these two individuals with guns on police business in Tesco at the time?
Why are these two individuals wearing guns?

Under which legislation are police allowed to carry weapons?
What are the codes and advice for police behaviour when wearing guns?
How many Cheshire Police are allowed to "open carry" guns when walking about in public?
How many Cheshire police are allowed to carry guns whether hidden or open?
Can you send any studies that have been done about whether public feel safer or more afraid when police carry guns?

Yours faithfully,

J. Morris
