Guidance for staff during Coronavirus pandemic

Merseytravel Nid oedd gan y wybodaeth y gofynnwyd amdani.

Dear Merseytravel,

I have a Freedom of Information request,

Can you release latest guidance for bus and Merseyrail staff during the Coronavirus pandemic?

What measures have taken to protect staff and passengers during the pandemic?

Yours faithfully,

Jordan Brazier

Henderson, Andrew,

Dear Mr Brazier

RSN20538

Thank you for your request made under the Freedom of Information Act.

By way of background, Merseytravel is not structured the same way as some
public transport bodies such as Transport for London, and we therefore do
not employee bus drivers and Merseyrail staff; bus drivers are employed by
independent bus operators who service both commercial and subsidised (i.e.
supported by Merseytravel) routes, and Merseyrail staff are employed by
Merseyrail Electric Ltd., a 50/50 joint venture company between Serco and
Abellio, which has a 25 year concession agreement with Merseytravel to
operate the network.

You are free to ask the operators directly about what guidance has been
issued to their staff using the contact details below, but as the
organisations are not subject to the FOI Act any response they provide
would be purely voluntary.

Merseytravel staff operate in both customer-facing (such as our Travel
Centres), facilities management and back-office roles. If you would like
to request details of the COVID-19 guidance provided to those staff,
please let me know

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review, which should be addressed to:
