Group B Strep guidelines, patient information materials, and rates of neonatal infection

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear Bolton NHS Foundation Trust,

The charity Group B Strep Support is doing some research into group B Strep prevention policies, information provision, and types of GBS testing done across the UK.

Please would you fill in the spreadsheet found at https://gbss.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2...

Please let me know if any questions are unclear. To assist with responding to this FOI request, we would expect questions 1-6 and 8-9 to need input from the Midwifery/Obstetrics & Gynaecology department, while questions 10-14 will likely need input from the Microbiology department.

Please provide answers to the spreadsheet linked above in an Excel format.

Yours faithfully,

Oliver Plumb

Dear Freedom of Information,

Following up on my FOI REF: 2019-374, I have noticed that "a copy of your guideline(s) relating to group B Strep during pregnancy, labour, and in newborn babies" is not attached to the email as stated.

Would you please send over a copy of these guideline(s) as soon as possible?

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Oliver Plumb

Dear Freedom of Information,

Thank you for your email.

I think there must be some confusion - the document you have sent over is a patient information leaflet produced by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in partnership with charity Group B Strep Support, it is not a clinical guideline.

I would expect Bolton NHS FT to have a specific guideline addressing group B Strep in pregnancy, please would send that, or other clinical guidelines mentioning group B Strep, to me?

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Oliver Plumb
