Dear General Dental Council,
On reading the GDC standards 2013, I notice that 8.4.2 gives very good advice with regards Whistle blowing. The press is making a lot of noise regarding the NHS punishing whistle blowers (as found by Sir Robert Francis QC), so i became curious, and my curiosity led to two questions:
1) Could I please have a copy of the GDC Grievance and Discipline policy/procedure as per the Employment Rights Act 1996 , and as per Annex A in the "Freedom to Speak Up" report
2) In the year 2013, how many GDC staff members raised concerns regarding the GDC, and of those how many subsequently found themselves facing disciplinary proceedings (I don't believe there will be any, and I wish to reassure myself that the GDC practices what it preaches)
