Grants and Equipment

University of Leeds did not have the information requested.

Dear University of Leeds,

I’m writing under the FOI Act to request information about any funding or equipment (including a car) received from or jointly applied for with Behavioural Dynamics Institute and/or Strategic Communication Laboratories between 1998 and 2008 by Professor Phil Taylor for his research on propaganda. This should include a list of all resources received, their value, specific individuals or organisations involved and any dates.

Yours faithfully,

Dr Emma L Briant

Dear Tracey Crombie,

Thank you for your reply. I wondered if I might be able to refine the search please? I believe this individual received a car related to the work he was undertaking, which I believe would need to be declared to the university, and I believe it’s unlikely it could be completely unknown to colleagues at the time. Perhaps might I ask you to look from 1995 please? This could have come from a named individual ie Nigel Oakes.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Emma L Briant

Tracey Crombie,

Dear Dr Briant

Further to your follow up question, I referred back to the relevant departments and, unfortunately, we only keep our financial records for 6 years as required by statute, we do not hold records going back to 1995.

I am sorry we have been unable to assist on this occasion. If you have any questions about this email, however, please don't hesitate to contact me.
