GP Pathfinder Consortia

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department of Health,

On Wednesday 8th December 2010 the first groups of GPs who are to become Pathfinder GP consortia were announced by Health Secretary Andrew Lansley.

Your press release is at http://www.dh.gov.uk/en/Aboutus/Features...

Please make available, by SHA region, the following details for the 52 groups of GP practices that are considered Pathfinder consortia:

1) Consortia name
2) Consortia contact details
3) Consortia membership, including OCS codes
4) Consortia coverage (geographic area, population, regions, &tc)

Please fulfil this FoI request by electronic means using open standards (PDF, text file, CSV).

Please contact me with any queries.

Yours faithfully,

Rob Dyke

GP pathfinder consortia by Strategic Health Authority region area listed at http://www.dh.gov.uk/en/Aboutus/Features...

but this list is really not that helpful, especially to those who would like to map this information and relate this to other data sources.

I don't believe that section 40(2) of FOIA applies to the contact information of these GP Consortia so I will be appealing this decision.

If the GPCC are to be accountable to the public for the decisions they make then they will need to be accountable.

With regards to the OCS codes. Again, this is strange as OCS identifiers are allocated by the NHS Information Board and are used as reference codes for NHS and non-NHS organisations.

I will email the SHAs for this information.

Did you get anywhere with your appeal? If anyone is interested I have the update list of pathfinder consortia (including the second cohort). Name, SHA, Number of Practices and size of population covered. No contact details or OSC codes though sorry.

This requester has asked each SHA for the contact details for each consortium. We'll set them up on WhatDoTheyKnow if they arrive.

Hi, I am working on the Department of Health, Safety Express Qipp programme on Patient safety, I am trying to find out how Pathfinder GP's are dealing with patient safety, are you able to help with this request Rob? Many thanks

Rob, I trust your appeal will be succesful. I represent a National association of PCT advisers and need to contact the new GP consortia. Contact information must surely be available and if the organisations are properly organised need not identify any particular individuals personal contact details. I look forward to seeing the contact details released on the site

This WDTK user is making good progress with his requests to SHAs.

It appears that the mileage of openness varies depending on the SHA.
