Dear Government Legal Department,

Please provide the policy, guidance and disclosure required from locum/agency solicitors when engaged and when dealing with cases or proceedings which may give rise to conflicts of interest.

For example a locum solicitor [Nigel Machin] is the director of at least one if not all three of the following companies [source - companies house]. Appears the same person but under three different/variation names?

1. DGM PROPERTY INVESTMENTS LIMITED
Company number 08950181
2. NGM FUTURE LIMITED (07928956) - dissolved
3. LIVERPOOL UROLOGICAL RESEARCH AND SERVICES LIMITED
Company number 02839923

Please provide copies of any information and material in electronic format.
Thanks.

Yours faithfully,

Gwynne Davies

Dear FOI,

Thanks for your response.

However, this appears to deal with the appointment of solicitors under a framework/tender arrangement for solicitors firms rather than those appointed via recruitment agencies/companies such as Capita who work inside the GLD/Treasury Solicitor offices.

Perhaps you can look again at the subject in question.

Thanks.

Yours sincerely,

Gwynne Davies
