Freedom of Information Act 2000 - Request for Information
I am writing in respect of your recent enquiry for information held by the
Authority under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.
Please find the response to your request below.
1. The name of the person/people who has/have been nominated to develop
this Towns business plan.
The Council has a corporate framework agreement with Engie/Arcadis, to
provide professional services for these types of activities. The contract
was procured through open tender process, 5 years ago. Arcadis are
developing Town Business plans for both Castleford & Wakefield.
2. An outline of your intentions regarding utilisation of awarded grant
The Council are utilising Government grant funding award to produce Town
Investment Plans (TIPs) for both Wakefield and Castleford, which will be
submitted to Government to be approved or rejected. If the TIPs are
approved by Government, a Full Business Case is then required to be
submitted within 12 months of the Government decision.
3. If there is an opportunity for you to involve the skills &
experience of an architectural company to support you in this process?
This is supplied by Engie/Arcadis as part of a corporate contract.
