This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Roedd y cais yn rhannol lwyddiannus.

Dear Transport for Greater Manchester,

Further to recent press reports on your termination of contract with ATOS in respect of the roll out and implementation of the "Get me there" ticketing scheme, My FOI request relates to the following information:

1. A summary of the project including critical timelines/stages
2. A summary of failed key stages Vs implementation plan
3. A financial overview of the costings for the ticketing scheme
4. A summary of compensation/costs following the termination. Whilst, I accept some of the data will be sensitive, the summary can use percentages rather than monetary figures ie: A total cost of x (Point 3) was invested and x% will be recouped as part of the compensation package from Atos.
5. A summary of dates/times when you realised the project was not achievable from Atos

Due to the public interest, time and financial investment made with this project I do not anticipate any issues in you providing this information as I believe this outweighs any use of the S40(2) FOIA/Data Protection Act 1998.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Dr Parker

Dear Transport for Greater Manchester,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Transport for Greater Manchester's handling of my FOI request 'Get Me There Termination'.

I have noted you have sighted Section 43 for not disclosing any information with regards to Point 4 (Compensation of costs following termination). I believe the Public interest test has been met as the exemption states:

- facilitate the accountability and transparency of public authorities for
decisions taken by them
- facilitate accountability and transparency in the spending of public
money
- allow individuals to understand decisions made by public authorities
affecting their lives and, in some cases, assist individuals in
challenging those decisions

Considering the total budget totalled £16.4M, the total monetary value should also be considered in terms of the use of public money and subsequent potential financial losses.

I look forward to receiving your response.
