Dear National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence,
A few additional questions based, mainly, on my previous requests regarding NHS Evidence (NHSE):
1) I asked about BME in a previous question. I will be more specific. How many BME permanent employees are there at a senior level (ie band 8 or above, or equivalent level) in NHSE? In NICE? How many BME in the Senior Management team (associate director level and above) at NICE? At NHSE?
2) Have the Communications and engagement directorate in NHSE (not NICE comms) ever employed someone from a BME background?
3) What proportion of staff have reported bullying, harassment and victimisation in the staff survey 2010 compared to 2009 and 2008? And what investigations are being carried out to understand this?
4) Is it true that, in senior team meetings in NHSE, you need to put your hand up to talk?

Thank you for your email dated 11/09/2010, in which you requested the
following information:

Your request will now be considered and you will receive a response within
the statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by the Act, subject
to the information not being exempt or containing a reference to a third
party. In some circumstances we may be unable to achieve this deadline. If
this is likely you will be informed and given a revised time-scale at the
earliest opportunity.
There may be a fee payable for the retrieval, collation and provision of
the information you request. If this is the case you will be informed and
the 20 working day timescale will be suspended until we receive payment
from you. If you chose not to make a payment then your request will remain
unanswered.
Some requests may also require either full or partial transference to
another public authority in order to answer your query in the fullest
possible way. Again, you will be informed if this is the case.
